WANT TO SOUND MORE LIKE A NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER?

“I’ve learned English for so many years, yet my English doesn’t sound natural.”
“How can I speak English more like a native speaker. Can you help me solve this problem?”
That’s what happened when you translate your native language to English; your English doesn’t sound right. Grammatically speaking, your sentences might be right, but they don’t sound natural.
How can you solve this?
Well, I can tell you one thing that can really help you speak more fluently is learning collocations.
What are collocations?
Collocations are two or more words that often go together. These combinations just sound “right” to native English speakers, who use them all the time. On the other hand, other combinations may be unnatural and just sound “wrong”.
Here are some simple examples:
have lunch – meaning “to eat lunch”
take lunch
have a shower
take a shower
make a shower
a quick shower
a fast shower
When you make mistakes with collocations, the other person will usually understand you – but your English won’t sound natural – because it’s different from the way a native speaker would say it.

If you still can’t figure out what to do, or how to pronounce that sentence like a native speaker, watch this video; then try to imitate the pronunciation demonstrated by Rachel from Rachel’s English. Rachel teaches English pronunciation with American accent. You can also practice your pronunciation with Fluency MCJason a.k.a Fluency MC teaches English in a cool way – through rap song. Isn’t that awesome? But if you want to sound like a British, you can practice your English speaking and pronunciation with Minoo fromAnglo-Link.
